Puente de la Mujer (Bridge of the woman) was designed by world-famous architect Santiago Calatrava. The bridge is his only project in South America, and is a fantastic example of Buenos Aires' "euro-tecture". The project was funded by Argentinean businessman Alberto Conzales in 2001. Puente de la Mujer connects the residential side of Puerto Madero to the financial side with her 335-foot-long pedestrian bridge. This bridge was designed so that the central part of the bridge opens at a 90-degree angle allowing the passage of smaller watercrafts. Subte L.N. Alem Linea B
