Rivadavia Park is the location of Buenos Aires' best book and music street fair. Open every day, the stands are full of old vinyl records, Argentinean classics and even music scores. Take the A Line subway to its last stop in the barrio of Caballito the Mercado del Progreso (Progress Market). This produce and goods market is said to have opened "at five in the afternoon on the 9th of November, 1889" and had its latest renovation in 1957. During the final renovation, every market stand was provided with a running water supply and electricity. Visitors will marvel at the delicious selections of meat, pork, chicken, fresh produce and local dishes available in the cafes.
